After the transition from CyanogenMod to LineageOS, the folks behind the scenes have been working to get version 14.1 running smoothly on as many devices as possible. Over the last few weeks we have seen official LineageOS 15.1 builds made available for a select number of devices. However, since the prerequisites are more strict than previous versions, some are feeling the progress has been a bit slow. Google kicked off Game Developers Conference (GDC 2018) by introducing a new feature called Google Play Instant, which should be a massive boost for game developers. With Play Instant, users would be able to play a short demo of a game before downloading it. Developers have found a new class in the latest Android P Dev Preview, which sets a minimum API version. If this is not met by an app, the OS pops up a warning message stating: "This app was build for an older version of Android and may not work properly. Try checking for updates, or contact the developer." We are yet to see if this will remain as a warning in the final version of Android P, or it will block apps from running.
