India is followed by China in the mobile manufacturer

India has become the world's 2nd largest mobile producer.

China is still at number one today.

This is in line with information shared with the Indian Cellular Association, the IKA, Telecom Minister Manoj Sinha and IT Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad.

India has put Vietnam behind the handset production. Association's national president Pankaj Mehndi wrote a letter to both of the ministers. In the letter said that the efforts of the Indian government, ICA and ATF are in the form of record-breaking mobile production in India.

India has become the second largest country in mobile production.

The association has taken charge from the National Bureau of Statistics of the Chinese Bureau of Statistics and the General Statistical Office of Vietnam.

According to the ICA data, the annual production of mobile phones in the country has increased from 3 million in 2014 to 11 million units in 2017. With the increase in mobile phone production in the country, its import has also declined.

The Fast Tax Force of the Electronics and IT Ministry has targeted to deliver mobile phone production up to 50 million units by 2019.

This organization has said that in the mobile manufacturing sector 15 lakh new jobs will be created direct and indirect by 2019.
